SHIP 5111

SEaBase Florida•Sail & Scuba Live Aboard

In December of 2014, we took 8 Sea Scouts and 4 Leaders to Islamorada, FL where we loaded gear, food and supplies, then drove down to Stock Key for an eight-day adventure. We joined 2 divemasters and 2 owner-captains aboard the Conch Pearl, a 50-foot schooner.  https://schoonerconchpearl.com/

Sailing & Racing on SSTV Nautilus

For six seasons, the crew of Ship 5111 took command of Nautilus, a Tripp 47 racer-cruiser. Sail training, casual racing, long cruises, the Chicago to Mackinac Island Race and the return delivery, service projects all over Lake Michigan were all part of the program. Here's a small taste of that experience.

Newly acquired donation from Dorsey and Betsy Ruley, SCOUT is a Bashford Howison (Sidney) 41, designed by Iain Murray and built in Sidney, Australia in 1998. She has a new diesel engine and steering quadrant, a full suit of racing sails, and is built for speed and comfort. She'll be racing in the 2019 Chicago to Mackinac Island with several SHiP 5111 crew and leaders aboard.
