In December of 2014, we took 8 Sea Scouts and 4 Leaders to Islamorada, FL where we loaded gear, food and supplies, then drove down to Stock Key for an eight-day adventure. We joined 2 divemasters and 2 owner-captains aboard the Conch Pearl, a 50-foot schooner. https://schoonerconchpearl.com/
Sailing & Racing on SSTV Nautilus
For six seasons, the crew of Ship 5111 took command of Nautilus, a Tripp 47 racer-cruiser. Sail training, casual racing, long cruises, the Chicago to Mackinac Island Race and the return delivery, service projects all over Lake Michigan were all part of the program. Here's a small taste of that experience.
