2022 Chicago's Christmas Ship Sleepover

Sea Scout Ship 5111's Friday night sleepover is a fun prelude to the 2022 Chicago's Christmas Ship, and this year marks the 23rd year of this all-volunteer tradition serving inner city youth and their families at Christmas time.  Our sleepover tradition offers safe, affordable housing, fellowship, and meals to Scouting organizations who will be serving the next morning at Navy Pier at the annual Christmas Tree Ship event. **All Sleepover participants will also need to register on the Christmas Tree Ship's page in order to participate in the volunteer event at Navy Pier.**

We welcome old and new participants ages 14 and over, yet we have been requested by the Christmas Tree Committee to limit the sleepover headcount to 70.  In order to accomodate interested Ships & Units, every ticket will have a total headcount limit of 15 (adults + scouts).  Only one ticket per unit can be placed, so please provide accurate Adult Leader & Scout quantity as you place your Unit's ticket order. Please be mindful that many Scouting organizations would like to participate in the Christmas Tree Sleepover, so be sure to provide accurate adult & scout head counts. 

This overnight event is open to all Scouting Organizations (BSA, Sea Scouts, GSA, Venture, etc) and operates in accordance with BSA Youth Protection Guidlines.  CO-ED Scouting units must have both male & female leadership. Unit leaders are responsible for the conduct of their youth. Failure to adhere to rules will result in being asked to leave.  All unit participants will receive a reminder email 2 weeks before the event of items to bring (sleeping bag, water bottle, work gloves, etc), a more detailed itinerary inclusive of dinner & breakfast menus, with a reminder regarding Sleepover behavior expectations. Please also be sure to register all your Unit's Adults & Scouts on the Christmas Tree Ship's page at www.christmasship.org or you will not be able to participate in the event at Navy Pier.
